About Pages of Stone
Pages of Stone is the newest project from Tom McCone (Plain Division, Monochrome Depths), and is the first project in the Open Soul Surgery collective lineup. It focuses towards the soundscape/drone side of his ambient work, and draws inspiration from the principles of cathartic, soul-wrenching pieces, old and new, in order to assemble a sketch of the artists' own soul. The main tools used are a handful of synthesizers, a couple tape recorders, a few effects units, and a lot of dedicated post-production.
