About Oversat
Oversat is an American Surfwave band. They have also been called Indie Experimental. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Jon Hall, bassist Jeremiah LongBear, gutarist Jared Cooper, and drummer King Doug. Founded in 1999, the band played mostly punk rock music. They self-released their first tape that same year, dubbing over bootlegged copies of A Tribe Called Quest's "Low End Theory" that bassist Jeremiah LongBear found in a police dumpster.
