About Ouispontane
Formed in Great Sankey ca. 1981, Ouispontane were an early incarnation of what would become 40 - 50% of AK's Groovy Dog and then, ultimately, Plastic Nancy. Howard Place was not yet a twinkle in Three Fingers Lewis's eye though Ian had already devised his Arnold Krettin alter-ego. A bizarre fact is that all Ouispontane's music was instrumental and hence The Shadows would be most appropriate similar artists. Does this mean that Howard Place was in effect the Cliff Richard of his day ?
