About Otto Siegfried Harnisch
Otto Siegfried Harnisch (* around 1568 in Reckershausen near Göttingen ; † August 1623 in Göttingen) was a German cantor , conductor and composer. Harnisch probably attended a Latin school in Göttingen. From 1585 he studied with interruptions until 1593 at the University of Helmstedt . While still a student in 1587, he published a secular German songbook here. He then worked from 1588 as cantor at the Cathedral of St. Blasius in Braunschweig .
