About Oskar Sigmund
Oskar Sigmund (born August 13, 1919 in Karlsbad – April 19, 2008 in Regensburg) was a German composer, organist and musicologist. Oskar Sigmund grew up in Bohemia. His uncle was the conductor and composer Paul Sigmund (1892-1970). After the expulsion, Oskar Sigmund became a lecturer at the Church Music School (today: University for Catholic Church Music and Music Education) in Regensburg in 1945. From 1973 until his retirement in 1983 he was deputy director.
