Orquestra Arab de Barcelona - OAB, was created in 2004 as a quartet led by Moroccan Mohamed Soulimane. As the band's musical director, Soulimane took a gamble from the beginning theme. "Our music is an important tool to explain our culture in a politically sensitive time, where Islam is identified with terrorism, violence and radicalism. For us it is just the opposite and that is what we are trying to convey with our rhythms, lyrics and music, "said a Soulimane.
