The “ Orquesta Típica Ciudad Baigón” ( Typical Tango Orchestra Ciudad Baigón ) was founded with a concrete purpose and a clear mission : to rescue Tango from the pitiful role it has been playing in popular music these last few years . And to make Tango a new realm in which the present-day intensity and meanderings might be reflected. The orchestra’s current performance style of tango music respects the aim with which it was conceived : an ambitious project to produce new arrangements on old Tango masterpieces
