
One of the more original bands from the post-war era, Ole Rasmussen & His Nebraska Cornhuskers produced a series of Western swing hits in the '40s and early '50s. With a sound that took a lot from the music from Bob Wills, the band was not based out of Nebraska as their name would seem to indicate, but instead was from California. Rasmussen was not much of a musician, but he was an excellent businessman and bandleader. He also knew a talented musician when he saw one and assembled one of the finest bands in the L.
