About Olavi Louhivuori
Drummer and composer Olavi Louhivuori (b. 1981) is one of the most prominent members of his generation of Finnish jazzers. His playing and composition can be heard in such groups as Ilmiliekki Quartet, Joona Toivanen trio, Alexi Tuomarila trio, Sun Trio and Oddarrang. Louhivuori's debut solo album Inhale Exhale was released in 2008. The music is mostly made of percussive sounds. Some tracks sound like improvised solos on a drum kit while others include sequenced rhythms and electronic soundscapes.
