Hailing from Athens, Ohio, the Ohio University Marching 110 began in 1968 under the direction of Mr. Gene Thrailkill. The '110' originally referred to the number of band members; Although the band has expanded in numbers, they've kept the name which now stands for the percent effort each member is expected to give. The 110 has had some notable performances, such as... -1968 Tangerine Bowl -1976 Carnegie Hall* -2000 and 2005 Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as a Broadway performance.
