Joseph Akers brought a new vision of controlled experimental math rock infused with synth to a small town in Michigan called Fenton. Releasing several demos that were recorded right in the comfort of his room, he quickly caught the attention of not just the town, but many others as well. Unlike other bands that would be compared to OB!OB!C, Joes earlier recordings featured intense mathy guitar playing, all played on a 5 string bass, as well as many homemade loops that were all played live in this one man band.
