Of the Atrium is a solo ambient act formed in 2013 in the heart of downtown Toronto, Ontario by a young and upcoming artist named Simon Austin. Drawing influences from Alternative Rockers Radiohead, Coldplay and Smashing Pumpkins, as well as Ambient and Post-Rock acts such as Tycho, Talk Talk, and Explosions in the Sky, Austin began to develop his own signature sound for this 4-EP project. As a guitarist of 6 years experience with an ambitious yet experimental love for recording software and technology
