Of Brothers and the Bear (OBAB for short) were a short-lived indie rock quintet from Dayton, Ohio, consisting of multi-instrumentalists James Gung, Zack Richardson, and Zac Smith, bassist Josh Lightle, and vocalist/violist Kyle Aungst. They unofficially disbanded in 2008 to pursue college and separate projects. Their songs often combined elements of dance-punk, pop, math-rock, and jazz, and were described to have a "sonic scope extending out into Modest Mouse/Broken Social Scene/70s prog territory
