About Ode to the Fallen
Ode to the Fallen is a melodic death metal band formed in Chateauguay, Quebec. They combine elements of melodic black metal and old-school death metal in the vein of Death, Morbid Angel, Gorgoroth, and Entombed to form a refreshing style of death metal with an emphasis on melody and atmosphere. Formed in the summer of 2007, as a metalcore side-project of vocalist Orin Loft and drummer Paul Milot, their style has shifted drastically since guitarist Wishe Deom was brought into the fold. Completing the lineup on bass guitar was William Gray.
