About NuRaNa
Nurana project exists since 2000 and the group’s concert activities began in 2002. Today, this quintet includes the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, saxophonist Sabir Rizaýew, the People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, percussionist and drummer virtuoso Şamyrat Myradow, who created the project together with Mihail Çariýew, the team leader. The younger generation is represented by talented keyboardist Merdan Bäşimow. The group's music is jazz and blues interpretation of tunes, rooted in the tonal and rhythmic structure of Turkmen folk music.
