Now Wakes the Sea started as the solo name for Alan McCormack, normally based somewhere in Central Scotland, to release sparse experiments into drone, acoustic, and psychedelic songwriting. Now backed by a rhythm section of Andrew Truscott on drums and Thomas Campbell on bass, they make lofi experimental pop songs with old guitars, broken pedals, fuzz bass, toy keyboards, distorted vocals, and limiter-smashing drums.
