'Not In Single Spies' started off as a solo Acoustic/Experimental project by multi-instrumentalist Adam Pirmohamed, in Summer 2009, under the name 'A Stone Yard Star' The project originally combined melody and acoustic songs, with dark, somewhat unnerving experimental pieces. However, after the completion of the first album 'Ruin In The Courtyard', Adam decided to split his creative ideas in two, futher exploring his acoustic ideas under his own name.
