
Preah Karuna Preah Bat Sâmdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk Preahmâhaviraksat (His Majesty King-Father Norodom Sihanouk) ruled Cambodia from 1941-1970, when he was deposed by Lon Nol, and again from 1993-2004, when he ceded the throne to his son Norodom Suramarit. In addition to his ceremonial duties as ex-monarch he is also a filmmaker and composer, writing stand-alone music as well as soundtracks for his films. His Majesty has written songs in French, English, and Khmer, the official language of Cambodia.
