NOK NOVUM ~ Calgary, Alberta 2008 - present Formed in early 2008, NOK NOVUM is an experimental metal band from Calgary, Alberta. Originally conceived as a two-piece, guitarist Grant Cooper and drummer Brady Mason create a distinct, textured sound of groove and melody. After years of writing, re-writing, and recording, they released their self-titled debut album on August 5th, 2012. It cleverly fuses 70s progressive rock, jazz-fusion, and instrumental metal in a way that is both chaotic yet simultaneously inviting.
