About No Gimmicks
Jimmy Dunne (AKA No Gimmicks) was born and raised in Galway, Ireland. He grew up listening to the Radio before acquiring a taste for Hip Hop. From that he began to broaden his horizon and his musical taste grew with genres such as Electro, Downtempo, Trip Hop, Ambient, Classical, Folk, Swing and many others. Influenced by artists such as Emancipator, Tor, Nym, Nujabes, Yann Tiersen and many more, No Gimmicks has developed his own style of electronic downtempo / hip hop instrumentals.
