NLB (Nik Bates) was born in Yokosuka, Japan on June 30th, 1992. He currently resides in San Diego, California and has lived there since he was 3 years old. His early influences included bands such as AC/DC, KISS, Led Zeppelin, The Steve Miller Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more along those lines. At around the 6th grade, he began to listen to rap. This included artists like Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, 50 Cent, Eminem and Dr. Dre.
