Nightnurse formed in 1996 in London, UK. The original line up was Ellyott Dragon - vocals/guitar, Ben Drakeford - bass, Charlotte Hatherley - guitar and Alex Lutes - drums. Charlotte was later replaced by Matt Platts. Charlotte is of course very well known now for her solo work and also being the guitarist of Ash. Once signed to ex Creation Tim Abbott's Label 'Better Records' Nightnurse released three charting singles in the late '90's - Golem (still with Charlotte), Skirt, and IDF.
