About Nightmare Sonata
The Reverend Benjamin Samedi formed Nightmare Sonata in 2004 out of the broken remnants of Greensboro, NC’s Gothic-Industrial and Punk rock scenes. Drawing on the musical influences of both, Nightmare Sonata creates a heavy and groove-oriented sonic brew that combines the sonic expanse of Goth and the raw brutality of metal and Punk. Dark imagery fused with fast percussional foundations are woven into an audio and visual tapestry and Samedi (who is alwasy seen dressed as a bokor¸ from Haitian lore)—joined by drummer Vega
