About Nicolae Brindus
Born on the 16th of April 1935 in Bucharest. Studies: M.A. - National University of Music in Bucharest, where he studied piano (1952-1957) and composition (1960-1964). He attended the Summer Courses of New Music, Darmstadt (1969, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1978, 1980) and Aix-en-Provence (1979). Doctor in Musicology (1981) at the Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca with the disertation "Bases of a formalized analysis of the musical language". He worked with the Group of Musical Research at IRCAM-Paris (1985).
