Nicholas Stevenson was born on a snowy Sunday in 1989. He found his first guitar at the age of eleven. It was an old classical with four of its nylon strings broken, and it lay buried beneath the roots of a sandragon tree. The instrument was named Ursula, and it possessed the soul of a witch, whose heart was stuck inside the tree; each time a bird pecked at the tree it bled her dark red blood. Together Nicholas and the Witch’s guitar played many beautiful songs, but the Witch inside Ursula did not really like folk music particularly.
