1) American screamo band Nicaragua started in September of 2005 in the back of a chinese restaurant in South Austin. The first line up consisted of Ray Carrion on drums, Carlos Villarreal on guitar, Lee Lewallen on vocal, and Brian Johnson on bass. The name was originally "My Droid Destroyed" in reference to Star Wars and the intended style was "metalcore with no breakdowns". In 2006 Johnson was replaced by David Kennel formerly of Treadmill and the bands name was changed to Nicaragua in reference the country's violent and chaotic history.
