I live in the UK. I am working on recording some guitar-based pieces. They are recorded in real time, although with subsequent editing, sometimes parts are omitted and, at other times, parts are joined on. But whatever is heard on the recording is what is actually heard in the room at the time the instrument is played and the recording is made. In other words, there are no other musicians, no overdubs, no sound effects added afterwards. The only exception to this, is the use of a loop (in fact, only one of my recent recordings uses a loop).
