Nathaniel Bartlett was born in 1978 in Madison, Wisconsin, and studied at the Eastman School and the Royal Academy of Music in London as well as with renowned marimbist Leigh Howard Stevens. As an integral part of being dedicated to an instrument of our time (the modern marimba), Bartlett is also dedicated to the music of our time - constantly seeking out composers with whom to collaborate in the creation of new repertoire for the instrument. In particular, he is interested in works that utilize 3D computer-generated sound projection.
