
Growing up in Tanzania , East Africa and his parents from Ghana ,West Africa, Nana D was surrounded by the traditional music of his homeland as well as the Motown, disco and funk in his father’s record collection. A subsequent move to the UK, his Godmother Carroll Thompson known as the Queen of Lovers Rock took him under her wing, from which was immersed in the Lovers Rock classics. The young music enthusiast was introduced to hip-hop from Planet Rock to Dr Dre, Grime and most recently Afro Swing.
