BACKGROUND Naledi King is a singer and songwriter born in Swaziland in a Charismatic Evangelist family, so she was singing gospel music almost before she could speak. “Everybody had to sing at home before dinner, everyday, for 30 minutes or more!” Naturally, it wasn’t long before she was leading the church choir on Sundays, in an environment that takes its music seriously… At 19, the town of Mbabane became a little small for the dreams and aspirations of this young artist and she moved to Johannesburg.
