Bangor, Maine's Mystic Decongestant is Andy Gray, a fairly recent transplant from Oregon. Named primarily for an interest in things bizarre and mysterious, Mystic Decongestant's music focuses largely on ambience, atmospheres and textures. Poetry, haiku and the occasional pop vocal mesh with guitars, keyboards, and processed beats. The music is largely influenced by jazz, 90's era techno / rave, ambient and downtempo music styles. Following a four year hiatus, the "Arrive By Nine" album was released (July 2013).
