Mulberry Bend is American folk artist, Susanna Carman, and Irish finger-style guitarist, Karl Farren; two musician-songwriters with distinct immigrant backgrounds whose ironically juxtaposed musical tastes drew them together to inspire their unique brand of Irish/Blues fusion. Susanna Carman, a former New Yorker who immigrated to Australia in the mid-1990s, hales from a musical, Jewish family who arrived in New York City in the late 1890s as part of the post-civil war wave of Irish, Italian and Eastern European emigration to America.
