About Mt Eden
Jesse Cooper, known under the pseudonym Mt Eden (and formerly Mt Eden Dubstep and briefly Mt Eden DnB), is a New Zealander dubstep producer and DJ based in Auckland. The project started in 2009/2010 as a duo together with Harley Rayner, who left around 2017-2018. They started gaining popularity when their remix of Freshlyground's track "I'd Like" called "Sierra Leone", went viral on YouTube in 2009. In 2008, Cooper decided to make dubstep music after he heard dubstep godfathers Benga and Skream
