Mounira Mitchala is a singer from Chad. She was awarded RFI’s "Découvertes" ("Discoveries") prize in 2007. She has recorded songs in Chadian Arabic and English, in a modern take on the sounds and rhythms of her native country. She also took part on Frédéric Galliano's 2005 album African Divas. Her first solo album, Talou Lena, was released on January 2008 on the Marabi Productions label.
