Mortipherus was founded in 2007 in Friesach, Carinthia. Early work was more on the death metal side of things, a fact made evident by their first and only demo "Dunkle Stimmen werden lauter..." ("Dark voices grow louder..."). As of late, Mortipherus' music draws influences from blackened death metal as well.
