Christophe Schweizer is an individualist even by the standards of his trade. Born in one of the most beautiful areas of Switzerland, he was introduced at an early age to different kinds of music by his parents. One type of music was western European church music, which explains in part his conviction that music should convey a spiritual message. Another was Jazz. Possibly because the latter direction seemed more interesting at the time, at the age of twelve he gave up the violin lessons he once had wished for so fervently
