Every single piece of the "song-to-be" is unknown before "tape" is rolling. (Its recorded digitally.) No practice. No demo-ing. No preparation. (Lyrics included.) What you hear is the song being written at the same time it is being played. Everything is one take. Mistakes are kept - they are now part of the song. It is not a "jam", it is free-form layering of what we intend to be a pop song, though sometimes.
