About Mondriaan Quartet
The Mondriaan Quartet is a Dutch string quartet founded in 1982, specialising in 20th and 21st century music. Its member are Jan Erik van Regteren Altena (violin), Edwin Blankenstijn (violin), Annette Bergman (viola) and Eduard van Regteren Altena (violoncello). As a Quartet, they are in increasing demand for their performances of 20th century repertoire and regularly give premières of compositions written specially for them. Amongst the eighty or more specially written quartets are works by Iannis Xenakis
