MJ13 began in London, UK in 2003 as a one-man (Clancy Hood) plus-guests recording group. Hood released the first album as MJ13 ("High Fraud", 12" vinyl-only, with Littledragon Records) in 2005. Drummer Anthony Johns and bassist Andres Anguita joined Hood to form a live blues/grunge/garage/punk act in 2006, performing regularly in East London venues and community squats until 2008. They made one independent digital release ("Tienen La Culpa", 2008) shortly before each member left London and they effectively disbanded.
