Miquela e Lei Chapacans were a French girl group who were part of the Occitan language music scene. Their self-titled debut album was originally released in 1981. The band made folk-funk that also contained elements of bossa-nova and jazz to produce a sound like an acoustic relative of the UK and US post punk/funk sound of the late 1970s and early 1980s, but a little more out there.
