About Miquel Rosquelles
Miquel Rosquelles (Moià, 17th century - Barcelona, 29 July 1684) was a composer and chapel master of Santa Maria del Mar. From 1669 Josep Reig gave him the position of master of the chapel of Santa Maria, which he obtained in ownership on February 22, 1674 and until his death. He is the author of five carols from 11 to 13 voices, a mass for 8 voices, a Nunc dimittis and some completes, both works for 15 voices, and the hymn Te lucis ante terminum. Francesc Valls i Galan was one of his disciples.
