
Mike Nichols and Elaine May were writers for television and stage in the '50s and early '60s. They collaborated on several comedy record albums. Their sketches were vignettes always involving a man and woman in varying roles. Each was a send-up of an everday situation either carried to absurdity or over-dramatized. Nichols went on to become an astonishingly prolific writer/director and producer for film and stage - Barefoot in the Park, The Odd Couple
