Mike McMonagle is a proud native and resident of Lancaster, PA. He first began playing guitar under the direction of guitarist Don Peris (The Innocence Mission). Working with Peris helped cement Mike's interest in the folk music tradition, studying the works of Bob Dylan, John Denver, and others. Additionally, one of Peris' former students - Philadelphia singer/songwriter Denison Witmer - became an influence in Mike's songwriting. Mike first began performing at downtown Lancaster's now-defunct independent film theater, Zoetropolis.
