About Midstates and the Choir of Ghosts
Midstates and the Choir of Ghosts began in late 2008 with a show at San Francisco's Hemlock Tavern. Former leader of Midstates, Paul Heintz had just finished the show when new drummer, Jose Rodriguez suggested renaming the band Midstates and the Choir of Ghosts. Midstates, an impressive indie band from Chicago, has evolved into Midstates and the Choir of Ghosts. The blog rumors about the name change being an homage to members past has never been confirmed (or denied) by the band
