Mick Underwood (born Michael John Underwood on 5 September 1945; died 28 July 2024) was an English drummer remembered for co-founding Quatermass and Quatermass II. He released the solo single Earthquake at the Savoy which featured the b-side Redwatch. Underwood was the drummer for Ian Gillan's second post-Deep Purple project; Gillan as well as the pre-Deep Purple MKII band Episode Six. Across his career, he was a member of many bands including The Herd
