About Michael Sievert
Michael Sievert (born 1953, Chemnitz, GDR) is a saxophonist and composer. Since 1987 he works throughout Europe, in Africa and in the U.S. In 1983 he completed his studies on ethnic- and contemporary music and composition at the Creative Music Foundation, Woodstock N.Y. He is co-founder of the international "Woodstock World Music Ensemble" and the Bremen new-jazz trio "Freeport". Besides numerous crossover productions with classical musicians for Radio Bremen
