Although Cath Carroll's band Miaow enjoyed a high profile in their lifetime, their musical legacy amounts to three hard to find singles recorded between 1985 And 1987, two seldom heard radio sessions for John Peel, and rumours of an unreleased album for Factory Records. The band traveled a long way in two short years - from Manchester to London, from C86-era guitar jangle to sophisticated electronic pop - and their rambling (but never shambling) route can be traced on this more or less chronological CD.
