About Mfiliseni Magubane
Mfiliseni Zamokwakhe Magubane was born at Ngudwini (Eshowe), north of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal on the first of January 1965. Eshowe still remains close to his heart to this day and has been a subject of a number of his songs. Mqabuleshesha (as he is affectionately known to his adoring fans) has a career that spans over thirty years in the music industry. His entry to the recording world is documented in 1986. Mfiliseni is considered to be one of the pioneers of the Maskandi rhythm and an activist of the South African traditional music.
