MetroSexual Mascara Frenzie was started in May of 2005 by friends Oscar Lopez (guitar and vocals) and Mark Risley (drums and backing vocals). The outfit named influences such as Some Girls and Charles Bronson, but other musical influences ranged from Man is the Bastard to AxCx to Discordance Axis. The original intention of the project was to create the most offensive micro-songs to come out of South Florida. Local attention was earned with the release of Blame Genetics in late 2005
