About Meridian Signals
Louisville-based Meridian Signals is a one-man shoegaze/sludgy experimental pop sound collagist who builds large soundscapes out of guitars, samplers, and keyboards. Most songs feature homemade recordings from shortwave and weather radio, public access television, and random, often unsettling, found sounds - all manipulated rhythmically within the music. Though much of the catalog bolsters a noise or drone structure, all songs have a rich melodic quality in the vein of Belong or Growing.
